Pre Season Round Up Thursday 12th August 2010

Shelley are yet to win this pre season but managed to get a couple of goals away at York City. Steve Torpey proving the difference, as the acadmey manager scored a brace for the Junior Minstermen to help them to a 5-2 win. Andy Farrell scoring both goals for Shelley taking his pre season tally to four. On Monday, Shelley visited Harrogate Railway, Shelley played well but Railway ran out 2-0 winners. The upside to the game will have been the impressive display from Phil Livesy at centre back. The new signing seems to have settled well. His centre back partner for the night was Al Greenwood who was forced off at half time with a head injury inflicted by Ryan Wilcock. Hopefully he will return to training tonight and be ok for the weekend.

Shelley are fielding two sides on Saturday so Berry can give everyone some game time but he will be without Dodd and Taylor who are at a wedding. The opponents will be Lepton Highlanders and Ovenden West Riding
