Shelley ran out in this game knowing 3points would guarntee them the Division 3 title. It was the hottest day of the year and the pitch was very dry and bobbly which restricted Shelleys football and Brook started well with lots of posession but no end product. Shelley started to settle and Vantani ran on to a through and slotted the ball away calmly to open the scoring. From then on Shelley were on top and new striker Petifer notched with a cool strike to make it 2-0. The from a corner the ball was bobbling around in the box before Stratford struck the ball into the nett to make it 3-0. Early in the second Half leeming, Centeno and Vantani linked down the right before vantani found Leeming throught the channel Leemings low cross was flicked into the net by Petifer. Then Macbeth found the net and Brook were well and truely beaten. Shortly after Butterfield went on a mazey run beat three defenders before he was hacked to the ground PENALTY. Henton shouted for Petifer to take it and the striker was composed and finished in the bottom corner for a well deserved hat-trick. Then the changes came with up and coming youngster Rich was brought on for Leeming and veteran player manager Henton came on upfront. The game finished 6-0 and Shelley were presented with the League trophy after the game
